Venezuela: EUAA COI Report. Country Focus

This EUAA COI Country Focus report on Venezuela is intended to provide an overview of the key relevant issues for the assessment of applications for international protection from Venezuelan nationals. This report is an update of the EUAA COI Report on Venezuela: Country Focus (2023), and EUAA COI Report on Venezuela: Country Focus (2020), which may be read in conjunction with this report for greater context.

The reference period for the report is 1 October 2023–30 April 2026.

Syria: De situatie in de provincie Suweida in 2026

Security situation

Dit onderzoek behandelt de situatie in de Syrische provincie Suweida (As-Sweida, As-Suwayda, السويداء). Het onderzoek richt zich in het bijzonder op de periode van januari tot begin juni 2026. Het onderzoek werd afgesloten op 22 juni 2026.

Corruptie en documentenfraude

Het doel van deze COI Focus is een onderzoek naar de waarde van officiële documenten uit Sri Lanka tegen de achtergrond van berichten over de wijdverspreide corruptie, de omkopingspraktijken en het regelmatige aantreffen van vervalste documenten op het Zuid-Aziatische eiland.

Dit is een actualisatie, die een overzicht geeft van 2014 tot de aanvang van 2025.

De situatie in Noordoost-Syrië (voormalig DAANES-gebied)

Deze COI Focus onderzoekt de actuele politieke en militaire transitie in de voormalige regio van de Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (DAANES), gelegen in het noordoosten van Syrië, na de val van het Assad-regime. Het onderzoek richt zich specifiek op de implementatie van de integratieakkoorden tussen de centrale overgangsregering in Damascus en de Syrische Democratische Strijdkrachten (SDF), waarbij de nadruk ligt op de militaire, bestuurlijke en civiele gevolgen voor de regio tot april 2026. Cedoca sloot dit onderzoek af eind april en het beschrijft voornamelijk de periode van maart 2025 tot maart 2026. De analyse van de veiligheidssituatie in Noordoost-Syrië gebeurt op basis van gegevens van het Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED) tussen 1 oktober 2025 en 28 februari 2026.

Deze COI Focus geeft een analyse van het geweld in Syrië van 1 oktober 2025 tot 28 februari 2026 op basis van gegevens van het Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED), een Amerikaanse niet-gouvernementele non-profitorganisatie die informatie over conflicten verzamelt, analyseert en in kaart brengt. Cedoca raadpleegde de ACLED-gegevens voor deze COI Focus op 18 maart 2026.
