Security measures updated at the CGRS

In consultation with an external security architect, the CGRS has updated its security measures regarding the reception of applicants and the organisation of personal interviews. The aim is to ensure maximum security for all. In recent years, the CGRS has observed an increase in the number of security incidents at the reception desk or during personal interviews. The CGRS recognizes the need to balance the requirement to minimise security risks with the importance of not creating additional hurdles, stress or tension for the applicants.

To ensure everything proceeds smoothly, applicants are requested not to take large bags into the interview rooms. Such bags can be left safely in the lockers near the reception desk. A check with a metal detector may also take place. To ensure a smooth personal interview, applicants are also requested not to take their children with them. No day care facilities are available at the CGRS.

The above information is also included in the invitation letter sent by the CGRS to applicants for international protection.

The CGRS counts on your understanding and cooperation to ensure that the reception and interviews of applicants take place in the securest and best possible circumstances.
