In view of the current situation in Lebanon, the CGRS has decided to formally cease taking decisions with immediate effect.
The CGRS will continue to notify the following decisions:
- decisions granting refugee status;
- decisions granting subsidiary protection;
- inadmissibility decisions for persons enjoying protection status in another EU Member State.
However, the notification of the following decisions is suspended:
- refusal of refugee status;
- refusal of subsidiary protection status.
This suspension is only temporary and applies until the CGRS has sufficient objective information to accurately assess the security situation in Lebanon and the risk of persecution.
